Treat your child to an unforgettable experience this summer — a week of summer camp at Camp Heritage! Give your camper the opportunity to experience physical challenge climbing our rock wall or learning to water ski. Enable them to develop their creative side in crafts, ceramics, and rocketry classes. Introduce them to the great outdoors in our horsemanship, nature, and outdoor survival skills activities. Provide them with nearly 10,000 minutes to build social skills, find encouragement, and grow spiritually, all while being cheered on by young adult role models.
Today’s world seems vastly different from the one in which I grew up. Technology has changed the landscape of our lives. And yet, the world in which my kids are growing up is also amazingly similar to the one I experienced. Most, if not all, of the same challenges exist: making friends, discovering who they are, building character, and navigating increasingly larger choices in life are all very real parts of my children’s lives. As the American philosopher, Ferris Bueller, once noted, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” We can quickly find ourselves simply reacting to the demands around us, leaving important things undone. This summer our theme is FIRST THINGS FIRST. Your campers will be talking about being intentional with their choices, making sure to prioritize the most important parts of their lives, not just being swept along with the crowd.
We are excited to partner with you to provide memories your camper will always treasure! Visit our web site, www.campheritage.org, for full details about our program. Adventures are better when shared with someone else, so, consider inviting a friend to enjoy the experience with your camper. Get ready for the ride of your life!
